Mac/Tac Film Application Procedures
Surface Preparation
A.
Surface must be clean and dry prior to Mac/Tac Film application.
B. PRIMER - use of a primer is
recommended for vertical walls. A latex emulsion is suitable at a rate of 1/10 gallon per
square yard. No prime coat is needed on horizontal surfaces above 50°F.
Placement Procedure
A. Remove release liner and place
adhesive side to surface.
B. Mac/Tac Film should be lapped 1" on previous roll.
C. Mac/Tac Film has been formulated with an extremely aggressive adhesive and is
very difficult to reposition when it comes in contact with a surface.
Storage
Mac/Tac Film should be stored indoors at
temperatures not to exceed 120°F.
For demonstration purposes:
Take the two pieces of samples, and on one of the samples, pull back the blue release sheet about an inch on one side. Lap the sticky side on top of the gray plastic film and press slightly on lap. Notice the complete seal that develops on lap.
It is recommended that an approved primer be applied to vertical walls.
Material comes in 42" wide x 48' long rolls.
